The Extreme Edition Short Leash was designed for everyday situations where reliable hardware and immediate control are essential. The safety-lock carabiner, high breaking strength, compact length, and padded wrist strap work together seamlessly to ensure safety, comfort, and control.


Usage & Fit

The Extreme Edition is suitable for medium to large dogs that use a lot of strength. The carabiner has a double safety lock that only opens the carabiner when both snaps are used. The short lead is suitable for dogs that are excellent at standing and running freely. The short lead is left on the collar while the dog is running freely. As soon as other dogs or passers-by come towards you, the dog can be led using the short lead. Another area of ​​application for short leads is public transport or paths where the dog has to be led "at heel" within a small radius.

Care & Materials

Our Vitomalia Collars, Dog Leashes and Harnesses are made of nylon material with neoprene lining. We recommend that you store Vitomalia Collars, Dog Leashes and Harnesses at home after use. This keeps the products looking good for a long time and prevents unnecessary wear and tear at home.
We already use the highest quality coatings, but black metal parts can wear and scratch.
For light soiling, we recommend washing the products for 2 minutes under lukewarm water with a little rubbing on the soiling. You don't need any detergent for this, just lukewarm water and your hands.
If heavily soiled, Vitomalia Collars, Dog Leashes and Harnesses can be washed in the washing machine in the washing bag provided on a 30 °C hand wash programme. Please do not use detergent for dog itemsCollars, Dog Leashes and Harnesses, but also dog bed covers)! Washing soda or a little vinegar is perfectly adequate. Detergent is too strongly perfumed and very unpleasant for our dogs. Vinegar and washing soda remove bacteria and keep the colour fresh for a long time.
Due to the metal details, we recommend that you also put other laundry (e.g. the dog blankets) in the wash as a kind of buffer to prevent your washing machine from being damaged by the metal details.

Isn't 30 cm too short for everyday use?

No - that's exactly the point. The Short Leash gives you maximum control at short distances. It does not replace a normal Leash, but supplements it for special situations.

How strong is the carabiner?

The breaking load is up to 600 kg. The frog carabiner is made of hard aluminium and only opens when double secured - reliable even with dogs pulling hard.

Is the Short Leash also suitable for large dogs?

How can I clean the Short Leash?

Simply rinse with lukewarm water or wash at 30 °C on a gentle cycle. Please do not use fabric softener or strongly perfumed detergent - vinegar or washing soda will suffice.
